Program of your guided hike in Corsica

Day : Ajaccio - Niolu Valley
Welcome in the morning in Ajaccio, around 8:30 am. Transfer to Calacuccia. The bus drives us on the small roads of the interior to the Niolu valley for our first steps. We walk on an old mule path to the Genovese bridge of Muriccioli. Picnic on the riverbank. We climb up to the top of capu di u Castellu and walk back along the Calacuccia Lake.
Night in the Niolu valley (Calacuccia, Albertacce or Corte).

Day 2: Ninu Lake
We walk up the Colga valley to the Ninu Lake. Free horses spend the summer on the large lawn that surrounds the lake. After the picnic we climb up to the Capu a u Tozzu (2007m). From the summit we enjoy a fantastic panorama to the Niolu valley and the highest mountains of Corsica. Then, we follow the famous GR20 to our lodge.
Night at the lodge Castel di Vergio.

Day 3: Vergio - Vergio
We enter the volcanic massif of Paglia Orba. We walk up on the GR20 along the Golu River surrounded by high summits. After a steep slope, we follow a very scenic ridge that leads us to the refuge of Ciottulu di i Mori (1991m). On the way back we stop at one of the fantastic river pools to take a bath.
Night at the lodge Castel di Vergio.

Day 4: Vergio - Evisa
After we have reached the Vergio pass, we leave the high mountains and start our long journey down towards the sea in the shadow of beeches and pines. We stop at the famous river pools of Aïtone and continue through the chestnut grove to the village of Evisa.
Night in Evisa.

Day 5: Evisa - Ota
On an old mule path you walk down the wild Spelunca gorge to the Genovese bridge of Zaglia. The mountain vegetation disappears and the wonderful smell of Mediterranean species take over. There are only three colours: the red rocks, the blue sea and the green maquis. Night in Ota.

Day 6: Ota - Porto
The trail overlooks the see and provides superb views on the Gulf of Porto. After a last steep slope, you arrive at Porto Marina then at the beach.

The hike exceeded my expectations including the food / meals. Pauline was an amazing guide in so many ways. ...her knowledge , experience and preparation was evident. Pauline balanced the different needs / abilities in the group and supported everyone while making the hike so much fun. The information and help from Cyrielle and Alexia was great and much appreciated. The scenery and experiences were incredible. Thank you to the whole Colueur Course team !!

Very nice trip. Agnes is very professional and knowledgeable and did a good job of keeping us moving along and safe. There was a range of abilities within the group, so I know it was a challenge to make sure that everyone could enjoy the hike to the best of their abilities. Not an easy task with a group of 14!
