Program of your roadtrip in Corsica

We do not offer a day-by-day program. You decide each day which hike you want to undertake based on the advice, maps, and descriptions we provide.

Day 1
You travel along the coast to reach the village of Piana on the southern shore of the Gulf of Porto. Along the way, you can enjoy the sea at one of the many beaches that dot the coast and visit the village of Cargèse. A short hike in the calanques of Piana concludes this first day.
Drive: 1h30, Hike: 1h. Night in Porto.

Day 2
A coastal hike above the sea takes you to the Capo Rosso peninsula, the western tip of Corsica. You'll ascend to the restored Genoese tower of Turghiu, which overlooks the entire gulf and is classified as of "world interest" by UNESCO (option to climb the tower). Below, the Porto marina unfolds against the backdrop of the distant Mediterranean, with the high snowy mountain range beyond. Other possible hikes include Girolata and the Spelunca Gorges. Another possible activity is a maritime visit to the Scandola Reserve.
Drive: 0 to 1h, Hike: 1h to 6h30. Night in Porto.

Day 3
You leave the coast on a winding road and cross the Aïtone forest with its natural pools. You hike along the GR 20, passing by the Radule waterfalls and taking a dip in the clear pools. The more adventurous can reach the Ciottulu di i Mori refuge at the foot of the Paglia Orba.
Drive: 1h45, Hike: 1h to 6h30. Night in Calacuccia.

Day 4
The Niolu Valley is the heart of Corsica, surrounded by the island's highest peaks, offering a wide variety of hikes. You can choose from crystal-clear rivers, high-altitude lakes, forest walks, or high summits. In the late afternoon, you return to Corte via the narrow and spectacular Scala di Santa Régina road. Another possible activity is horseback riding.
Drive: 1h to 1h20, Hike: 1h to 6h. Night in Corte.

Day 5
Corte is the historical capital of Corsica. The narrow streets leading to the citadel invite exploration. Spend a few hours visiting the city and the Ethnographic Museum of Corsica. Situated at the confluence of two stunning valleys, the Restonica and the Tavignano, Corte is a must-visit for hikers and climbers. Numerous hikes of all levels are available, including the Melo and Capitellu lakes.
Drive: 0 to 45 min, Hike: 1h to 6h. Night in Corte.

Day 6
For your last day, you can enjoy a hike around Corte, go river swimming in the Restonica or Tavignano, or explore the Vizzavona forest. Other possible activities include canyoning and adventure parks.

Hike: 1h to 6h.
